Tanzania Safari and Zanzibar in One Journey

Safari first and beach second is the most popular way to see Tanzania: early mornings in the parks, then a few slow days on the Indian Ocean. A short domestic flight connects Arusha or the Serengeti with Zanzibar, so the two fit together easily.

We arrange the safari, the domestic flight and your Zanzibar stay as one itinerary, so transfers and timings line up.

Who It Suits

  • Honeymooners and couples
  • Families who want downtime after the safari
  • First-time visitors who want both wildlife and beach

How many nights on Zanzibar?

Three to five nights is typical. Add Stone Town for a night if you want history and culture as well as the beach.

Which coast should you stay on?

The north (Nungwi, Kendwa) has less tidal change, so swimming is easier through the day. The east coast is quieter, with wider tidal flats. We suggest a coast based on your priorities.

Questions We Are Often Asked

Do I need a separate visa for Zanzibar?

Zanzibar is part of Tanzania, so the Tanzania visa covers it. Check the current entry rules for your nationality before you travel.

Can I fly home from Zanzibar?

Yes. Zanzibar has an international airport (ZNZ) with connections through regional hubs, so many travelers arrive at Kilimanjaro and leave from Zanzibar.

Your Safari Doesn't Have to Start With a Package.
